Concerns about sustainability and combustion emissions associated with fossil fuels, combined with a volatile and uncertain market has heightened world interest in clean, renewable sources of energy. The technologies of Electric Jet, LLC continue to focus on the development of a hydrogen gas turbine that could be integrated with other clean renewable energy sources for a systemic approach to energy needs.

Electric Jet received their first approved patent for premixing injector for hydrogen gas turbines.

Applications

Gas turbines fueled by pure hydrogen have broad applications, particularly where renewable and/or low-pollution energy sources are available to produce hydrogen. For stationary power generation, hydrogen-fueled gas turbines can be used to convert the intermittent output of some renewable energy sources (e.g. wind and solar) into continuous power available on demand. Additionally, hydrogen-fueled gas turbines have applications in transportation. Rail vehicles, for example, could benefit significantly from the adoption of hydrogen as a fuel.
